try this, turn the key to the one position and wait 20 to 30 seconds before you start it. this will give you an idea if its fuel related or not. what you could also be seeing is a problem with the idle air control. it controls base idle and if it is damaged and or dirty that can cause a starting/idle problem. another thing to try is when it starts try to give it some fuel to bring it off of base idle and see if it stays running, this will tell you wether its an idle air control problem, but yes depending on miles if you havent tuend it up are changed the fuel filter ( every year ) then you would want to do this as well

How many miles on it? If alot, maybe need tune up done, and also a fuel filter replaced. May want to try them things.
