Don't get me wrong, I look forward to the festive spirit of Christmas.
But...in the Christmas season.

Now you know how I feel. I love the summer.
Christmas to me is in Narnia and a few years away.

No way Norm! I haven't come across any yet - but was expecting as much on the 1st September....it depresses me as it means 3 months of "mum can I have that, mum can I have this!" It makes it so difficult which items to go for as there are too many days for minds to be changed by marketing hype!!

I have already bought up most of the Dr Who range which could not wait!

I LOVE christmas, but i hate the fact that it is shoved down our throats from August. I think it makes the actual festive season less special because people have had enough of it by the time it comes round. The big companies are wishing the year away, it already frightens me how quickly the year has gone by!!

Oh my god!! Where?

This is rediculous! We're not even out of summer yet and I'm still waiting to go on my 'summer' holiday!!!

Can't understand why they get them in so early, surely they'll just sit on the shelves until the consumers are ready to start thinking about christmas and what goods that for profits eh?

It's sad. I remember when I was a kid ( I'm dating myself now) that we actually had Thanksgiving decorations out after Halloween. Christmas decorations didn't show up until Black Friday ( for those of you who don't know, that's the day after Thanksgiving).

It is because of poular demand. It was on the news the other day, loads of people last year started selling in Aug, and got great response, selling them all early was a good thing, and it paid them too.
