I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer. I went out today to go somewhere and I put the key in the ignition. And I can't not even budge it forward or back. I don't know why it won't turn so that the car will start. Is something making it lock? I need to leave and I can't start my car! They key won't turn. HELP. Thanks so much if you know what to do!!!

PS. When I put the key in and the door is open, it still makes that little ring telling you that your key in in. (if that helps)

try moving your steering wheel..our 96 blazer has a steering lock which makes it not able to turn the key.

push your brake pedal and try to move the steering wheel one way or another.

There might be something wrong with your steering wheel lock mechanism, or electronics. Some cars have it that so when the wheel locks up you can't turn the key. Yours might be stuck in that position. Try moving it around, while pressing the brake too, just in case that's part of the whole thing... You might need some force if it's actually broken. Get it checked out if you don't know too much about cars.

Dont know if this might be a problem in the newer Blazers but, make sure the gear selctor is fully in park, my 79 want turn or nuffin if the gear selector is not fully engaged in park also if the sterring wheel is turned to far then the stering lock is tight in there you may need to turn the wheel more and use force and turn the key itll pop really loud and the steering wheel will jerk. Dont worry its not damaging just try not to turn the wheel to far when cutting off the vehicle

I had a simialr thing happen in an much older and different vehicle. Had smacked the bottom of the steering column, and then was able to turn the key afterwards. Maybe that trick will unbind something that maybe is causing your delema. Sorry is what you might be looking for.

it rather is waiting to stress no maintance requiered. lots of the time venture vehicles want some issues to stress like an engine rebuild or transmission or different considerable ingredient yet a turn key vehicle ability it needs not something to stress.
