Does it really matter what car you drive? Does this really tell people what you are like and who you are as a person? Is image everything?
If you respond, please indicate the vehicle(s) you own.
Thanks

Any vehicle does not make a person. The making of a person comes from within. You can drive the best vehicle on the face of the earth and be the worst person to be around. A lot of families that I know, drive real fancy cars and have nothing else. What is the purpose of that?

I would not trade my 98 Monte Carlo for anything. It is white, has a dent in the right front fender. So because of this dent, does it make me a bad person or a good person?

Do you understand where I am coming from? I don't mean that in a nasty way either okay?

Thanks for the question.

I'm not sure where your coming from on this question.
I sell cars for a living & I've sold thousands of vehicles over the last 23 years.
It's a teeny tiny percentage of people who would buy a car to impress others or to make some kind of a statement about their personality.
People buy vehicles to please themselves. Something that THEY like. Not what other people will see them in.
Most People buy a vehicle that suits their individual; needs, wants, desires, budgets.

I think the WAY some people DRIVE their cars is more apt to tell me about them.
And the way they MAINTAIN their vehicle might give others a glimps of their personality.

But WHAT they chose to drive is usually what is most pleasing to them or what fills their needs.

I don't own a vehicle......I am in the unique position, that I don't have to choose any one vehicle, for any length of time. I choose a "demo" & drive it untill somebody buys it .

I have 'chosen' hundreds of 'demos' & I choose based on what I like...........and/or need at the time.

Right now I'm driving a Hybrid Escape and it's loaded with all the options , I always choose one with leather interior , because thats what I like & I like a moonroof, mostly because I'm a little claustrophobic . I like music so I always get a great sound system & I like a car thats FUN for me to drive..
See what I mean..??? It's all about ME.

Not about what other people think of me, based on what I drive.

Hummer)-Soccer mom with husband with a inferiority complex
Mustang)-17 yr old girl with cool dad with an eye for the classics and handy with a wrench,
V-star)- 45 yr old man with enough knowledge to know that Harley's are overpriced and unreliable.

Me) I have a 00 Land Rover Discovery and a 85 Toyota Land Cruiser. Both are used as they were built for, to take me far away from the city!

Yes cars definately say alot about you and the state they're kept in, I've seen some really nice cars that look like rubbish dumps instead and think what a minger that owner is.
By the way I drive a volvo estate; married, reliable, two kids and safety conscious.

To me the car you drive won't make me think who you are as a person. Or what you are like. Its a car.
