listen, i understand that we are all using our right to free speech and all that, but there has to be some kind of guidline in this regard. many times i wonder if they are simply designed ot get a reaction out of us

In order to exercise our freedom of speech maybe we should add a few more categories. Racist like it or lump it, sexual in orientation must be 18 with proof to enter, ignorance section don't know where to put it hey here ya go. Yes many want a reaction, many bored. Noticed a lot of the ignorant ones don't have enough since to even rate their own questions but we have to so that someone gets the ten points. So that is my opinion. And there should be better virus protection that refuses questions or answer with virus' attached. Spell check is nice and grammar would be good and if they had to use it before it was accepted would be cool too not perfect but better don't you think? :-)

apperantly it works on you. Look be honest, a politician wanting your vote is going to say how much he's for everyone. A movie,t.v. show, or any other media outlet has been squelched when anything "controversial" should air. What is left that so many can voice their opinions?Theres differences among the races, nationalities, and religions. When a "generalization" is given it should mean the "norm" or more than half. If I say that most blacks don't get married and father children with many differant women its true statistically speaking. If that offends you then your not being realistic. Look at the big picture and not just what is in front of you

there are very racist and ignorant people in the world, and at least on here you have some control over what you expose yourself to. but i have seen some really xenophobic comments that were highly offensive (even though i'm not a member of any group attacked...).
the only reason anyone says anything offensive is to get a reaction.

This is not governed by free speech. There are TOS (terms of service). Yes there are terrible comments made, some in jest, some in hate. Most are meant to get a rise out of the group targeted, I'd imagine.

A few???? There's are many many many very racist and ignorant questions on here. But how do you control it? I think Yahoo is deleting some questions as fast as they can and we probably don't even see half of them.

every question here is designed to get a reaction. There are very fw people in the Us anyway that are genuinely racist

Aye, but what your suggesting is that people should use freedom of speech with moderation, based off morals and ethics.

I completely agree, however the sky seems to be the limit these days. It is not isolated to racism.

I think most of them say racist things just to get attention.
If we ignore them and don't respond to their questions, they'll go away- hopefully.
