Years ago, this could be a problem.
Today, one never knows, what one thinks.
To many skin color is not an issue, others it is.
See where it goes, you will know if he is interested.

It depends on your personality and looks. My personal preference as a white guy is that I'm not attracted to most black girls, but still the right look and attitude and there have been a few black girls I wanted to date.
But if you want a white guy to see beyond you skin color the best advise I can give you is to not act clique(sp?) Basicaly, dont use ebonics and stay away from phrases you'd hear on ricky lake.

There are lots of guys that have no problems with that., in fact, I know a married couple where the guy is white and the lady's black. Check the guy out. See who his friends are, and find out what he likes to do. Don't let your race hold you back. Just talk to him; what's the worst that could happen?

Your not stupid, but I wouldn't think the guy would have a problem with the color of your skin. I would talk to him and see what happens. He's not the last guy in the world either way so what difference does it make if you let it be known your interested in him.

You can try because you never know. But don't be too disappointed if you get turned down. The norm is that black guys like white girls and not the other way around. Just the way it is, not saying it is right.

Not stupid, but a bit concerned about something that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
Tell him how you feel; tell him you like him and want to get to know him better. The worst ye can say is no. If he adds anything else derogatory behind it, then he wasn't worth your time to begin with.
Good luck.

You are not stupid to think that way but you should make your move and if he isn't interested in you because you are black then you don't need somebody like that in your life anyways.

some people are stuck in the ways that they were raised. Some people feel more comfortable with their own race; some will date WHOEVER THEY WANT!. It all depends on the guy ~ you have to respect his wishes regardless. I am of mixed-breed and date whoever I want, and have found that some guys prefer their own race and some date outside of their race. the bottom line is that you are dating a PERSON, and NOT THEIR ENTIRE RACE!!!

Yeah...girl...the attraction between two opposite races sometimes is stronger than the attraction from the same two races. White guys think black girls got a lot of spice and attitude and they like that. He should be happy to have you. Pursue your man!
P.S. I'm black too.
