well i dont really kno n e thing bout cars all i kno is dat i hav a sub system n my car n prolly my battery is da problem but im new to cars so i dont really have dat much knowledge all i kno is wen i start my car insted of hearin my engine startin i hear a click sound each n everytime. COULD IT STILL B DA BATTERY IF I JUMPD STARTD IT N IT STILL DID COME ON????but wen i turn my car on my lights and system still works...

have it tested, most parts stores will test for free

First check your charging system. If the starter just "clicks" and nothing else happens, then it might just be the battery. However, if it sounds like it's engaging the flywheel, but not turning it, then it's most likely your starter.

Whenever I have been suspicous of a starter problem I have had my mechanic test and check it to either identify or eliminate it as the problem. You know, I think it was something else most of the time.
