Well, if you have the ZZ Top, then you are definitely a happenin' beardie but in general, beard look bad. That Jason/N'Sync look on The Hills just looks too gay (OK, if you are gay, go for it...but if you are straight, why would you want to look gay?).
To me the best beard ever was Bill "Cowboy" Flett on the Philly Flyers in the '70s.

I know some Muslim men wear beards because they believe it is more natural and right to wear their beards. Traditional sikh men wear beards too. I know other men who wear beards because they get all itchy, scratchy and spotty if they shave.

To me men with beards are trying to cover up bad skin ( I sympathize with them ) or just plain gay. Women don't like beards in general.

As a bearded man we harbor no bad will to you "cleanies". I can't speak for us all. but i grew a beard simply because I don't like to shave.

I don't like beards...I don't mind a goatee if its done right, but I would much rather have a nice smooth face especially when it comes to kissing :)

Hair harbors bacteria....there is your answer. Beards are gross except on Santa or ZZ Top.
