Been there and done that. Even been suckered into telling so called invention submission agents about them and had those stolen. This subject has more swindlers than swiss cheese has holes! If you want to go the correct path, use a patent attorney and have a patent issued before you discuss it with ANYONE. Even a provisional patent gives you a year to get the patent, but even use this carefully.

I think that there will be a lot more "simple machine" type inventions to come in the future. Ones that rely on a variety of simple machines to do tasks that today we may BURN TEH PETRO to accomplish.

The Bicycling Lawnmower is a wonderful idea...... get the chores done and EXERCISE at the same time

Yup, I wanted a way to write notes to friends in other classrooms in high school. You know, electronically? Now, there are cell phones with text, IM and blackberries, and other devices. I was in high school 10 years ago. Wow, what a difference since then!

Yes! I did on a couple of occasions. Here is a very good, true case example. While out skiing my lips would crack and chip away. I started to use petro-jelly(vaseline) this product was effective in every way. It prevented chaped lips and stayed on for a longer time period of time. there was one frustration with their packaging of the product at that time the packaging was (bulky) and I would lose it on the slopes.
So I concieved of a new way of packageing their product.
I had covered all bases on protection afforded and suggested to me at that time by an attorney(now deceased) nearly 31 years ago. In those times money was short for everyone. Who would have thought of sending a very good product idea to a major company as"Chesebrough-Ponds Corp" would turn out to be a real bummer as the following: We wrote them a letter stating that we had an idea that we knew would be of value to them.
In response to our letter. We recieved then in return got a letter from them asking to submit our idea for their research department to evaluate and a letter for me to sign(a disclaimer form,it was NOT a "here is my great idea go ahead and have it form"). I had no intention of just giving my idea to them our hope was of acceptence and of course wanted to profit from it our idea. Thinking they to be excited about the idea being reputable and HONEST!. (WRONG)We sent off a return registered letter of the discription, its use in practice and drawing of idea to company and then it was forwarded to their R&D department as suggested by them for evaluation. So a month later I got a letter saying that they thought my idea of no practical use and a thank you for submitting your product idea to us. Anyway approxamatly 15 months after we suggested it to them, bigger than life and low and behold on the store market shelves it was and still is as of today, as well as other companies using the same Idea for thier products. I have written the the above named corporation asking them for the royalty agreement forms they stated in the first letter of response if they were to use/impliment my Idea, etc.
By my estimates I figure that Chesebrough-ponds owes me royalties and including royalties for them leasing my idea out to other affiliates or corporations.

"I SWEAR THE ABOVE TO BE OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH AS I WOULD NOT MAKE A PUBLIC CLAIM AS THIS IF IT WERE NOT".
I have a very good witness to the fact that I did such as she and I performed market research and feasability as well as drafting correspondence to them prior to submitting the Idea to "CHESEBROUGH-PONDS". We are very much displeased with that corporation for stealing our hope and dreams for our futures and family.
