It might be the same thing that causes that same smell that is present when two African-American men have sex, or two Native American men have sex, or an African-American and Native American man have sex. . .

Its not just a thing between two guys... Its quite common to have a distinct odor after any type of sex with anyone...of any sexuality or race..
After sex, production of the hormone prolactin surges. This in turn causes stem cells in the brain to develop new neurons in the brain's olfactory bulb, its smell center.
