Stockings, in my opinion, are what grandmothers wear. Pantyhose replaced stockings years ago - they allow for shorter skirts (yay!) and offer full support. Stockings and garter belts are too cumbersome, and the straps show through tight clothing.
Yeah, I am biased because I am a pantyhose girl. But the benefits of pantyhose far out weigh those of stockings. Just my humble opinion.

Stockings have taken over for younger women, pantyhose is the norm for 40 and older.

I love both, but I do love the look of pantyhose on a woman. I wish they would wear them more often.

both, stockings for when you wnat to feel your sexiest and pantyhose for those other days; nothing sexier than stockings and garter belts
