I have had 3 different cellphone providers. Hands-down - VERIZON is the BEST. Here is WHY
1 - Their coverage emcompasses the most area in the U.S.
2 - Their SIGNAL STRENGTH is the best I have experienced. NO dropped calls. I used to have Cingular - - too many dropped calls.
3 - Verizon may cost a little more BUT - - I got a tire blowout whie driving along a MOUNTAIN TOP, and the Verizon phone allowed me to call for help.
4 - Again - even tho Verizon may cost a little more, you do NOT want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere and not be able to reach anyone for help!
5 - I had 2 verizon cell phones, because I moved to a different state, and I kept the Verizon Pay-As-You-Go, because when I crunched the numbers, if I remain below 100 minutes per month - using the Pay As You Go Phone is cheaper. I only generally use it for important calls or emergencies.
IF you use your phone a lot, then you may prefer using the regular plan.
6 - While Trac Fone has good ads, I investigated them beforehand, and was VERY disappointed.
Good Luck ☺

This question is always best answered by your friends in your local area. Cellular service is relative to were you use it everyday. The major services of course tend to have the best service within most areas. Some areas are great for some providers and not others and vice versa. Consider also mobile to mobile, picking the same provider as family and friends can be a great help in keeping you bill down. Cingular, T-Mobile, use GSM technology which is good for international travel, Verizon and Sprint use CDMA which is good with speed and is a slightly older network. Cell phones are always upgrading into something new and expensive, never buy the highest priced item. Most companies give you a grace period so use in the area you will need it and make sure it works. Good luck!

Cingular. I went with the aid of a era of fixing cellular telephone centers. I replaced centers approximately 5 instances in 3 months. i got here across that Cingular has large provider and their shopper provider might desire to you like it, is amazingly good. Plus Cingular is the only employer that provides roll over minutes which has truthfully are available in obtainable countless instances. And the telephones they use could be used across the international. They use an identical form of technologies that's used over seas. So once you return and forth over seas you do not might desire to get a distinctive telephone.

Cingular works for me.
My wife and I have the family plan.
With that we talk for as long as we want for no additional charge. A lot of other people have Cingular too and you can talk to them for free too.
If most of your friends use another service go with that because within a company calls are usually free.

I've had T-Mobile, Cingular, Sprint, and Nextel before, but in my opinion, it has to be T-Mobile. Cingular is great too, but sprint sucks, and that's what I have now.... T-mobile, when I had it, gave me 3000 minutes anytime anywhere. Of course there's no nights/weekends, but I don't talk at night, I sleep, and I usually use around 1500 minutes per month, and I do business... it costed about $39.99, can't beat it.... Cingular, gives you the nights and weekends, but only like 400-600 minutes per month at around that price.... Sprint.... i have a family talk plan, and they got some nice phones.... but that's about it...
