How do I enter a chat room.?

if u r talking abt yahoo chat rooms then in very first top of yahoo window u can see MESSENGER CONTACTS ACTION etc
just click to MESSENGER there u ll see somewhere down yahoo chat click that and click to any room u like ....
this is i m talking abt yahoo 7.0 version ..if u need more help i will

Go to Messenger, Click on Messenger, go down to Chat, Click on Chat room, Enter

Download messenger and shortcut to desktop suitably. I think you have done it.
Now step by step logging in::::

Click icon on desktop
Feed yahoo ID and password and click "sign in"
Click "Messenger"

Click "Yahoo!chat" "Join a room"
There is list of categories. Click at "+" against category of your choice
Then select a room
Click "Go to room"
Click "enter chat" after blue strip is full

Lo you are in chat room
(i) Enjoy what people are communicating on left portion. You can also contribute
(ii) On right side is list of persons in chat room. In case you take your cursor on the name, it will give you brief particulars (mentioned by participant).If you choose to select or some body selects you, chatting by yahoo!messenger will start.

then enter the chat room

for aol invite people and people will come.....it's under the names of the buddies...between IM and info...just hit chat and select who you want to invite.......it's not complicated
