Is the Godfather the manager or the pimp? Get a contact like Barbizon or Modeling Agency that is legal and wont have you exposed or going to non existing gigs. Be Careful

1. Go to New York.
2. Look up the modeling agencies, large and small. Most agencies have a time for hopefuls to come in and be looked at. Call each one and find out what time you can come in.
3. Go to the agencies. Wear very simple clothing and not too much makeup. Bring a porfolio if you have one. They will look at you and be brutally honest. You will get an answer right away.
4. Don't give up. If one agency doesn't like your look, you never know. Someone else might. And don't take anything personally. Looks go in and out of style.

Warning: DO NOT, EVER, give anybody any money! Do not pay for modeling school or any other service. They are a scam. If the agent is for real, they will take no money from you until they actually get you a job.

Go to a legitmate modeling agency and talk to them. Avoid the advertisements for models. They are really photographers that only want to sell you a very overpriced photo album. Real modeling agencies don't have ads in the want ads.
