We are different, but equal. I'll try to explain this short and sweet. Every human being, man and woman, was created for the same purpose -- to fuse body and soul in order to make themselves and their world a better place. Men are physically stronger. By nature, they are usually more aggressive In contrast, a woman usually embodies the ideal of inner dignity. Some people confuse such subtlety with weakness; in truth, it is stronger than the most aggressive physical force imaginable. And the nature of a man, while aggressive, is not brutish.
The answer is not for men and women to try to be alike. All men and women must be themselves. We have been given unique abilities with which to pursue our goals, and that our primary responsibility is to take full advantage of those abilities. No one sex is smarter than the other. One male may have better survival instincts then the female standing to him, but then again, the next female might have a high IQ of this and that. The environment in which they have been raised in also plays a key role, the era they were born, and the vaules that they were taught.

I don't feel that there is a logical answer to this question. Why? Because you are separating beings into two groups without any real reason to. Some men are smarter than some women, and vice versa. There are also some women that are smarter than other women, and some men that are smarter than other men. Brain functions are partially dictated by gender, but moreso by learning experiences. So, I guess that some women could be equal to men, but some aren't. Just as some men aren't equal to other men. All men may be created equal as far as rights go, but not as far as smarts go.

In my opinion Islam does not treat men and women equally. This is not to say I think women are oppressed because Islam has given them many rights, but until women can hold the position of men such as Imam and teach and lead men to prayer then they are not treated equally. As for the marriage thing, the reason women can't have more than one husband is because their would be no proof as to whom the father of the child was. However, since there are ways to tell nowadays then either it should be allowed for women or better yet abolished altogether because it does not promote true love. No person can truly love another with all their heart and then turn around and have sex with another person.

In society women are generally equal. Unfortunately, there are still a few sexists out there who mistreat women.

In relationships and friendships there's always a more domininant person of the two, and hopefully that's not misunderstood to be sexism. It just happens.

Frankly, women are often equal to me in some ways, though, I will always notice that I'm talking to a woman not a man or a man not a woman. The difference in sex often changes small things in personalities. It's too bad. The sexes will never be completely equal, but so close that its equaly unequal.. if that makes sense.

there is nothing like equality...both have different body and mind structures, basic upbringing and broadly basic behaviour and ways of expressing emotions....is ur father equal to ur mother??????..no doubt both th esexes have their own indivuality but there are some differences which are better maintained..there is a dignity and honour associated with each and should be maintained...to treat them equal is sickness... both shud have best opportunities and growth and upbringing but the best may not necessarily be the same....there shud be no hampering in these opportunities...a man shud learn giving seat to a woman but the woman shud learn leaving seat in a bus or train for a handicapp or old man as well..some basic humanity and courtesies remain the same but then some shud better be different.......there are some tasks women generally are good at and some men generally are good at..no cultural boundations for this..but when it comes to doing the task it shud be distributed over who does it better irrespective of sexes...women cook a lot and many cook well same for men but who so ever has more time, strength and better health shud cook for the time..thats what I mean....tasks are divided but shud not be straight jacketed..life cannot run on stringent rules....it works out on basis of space giving and understanding things as situations not always intentions...

women are equal to men in most of the feild.ur question is what women can do what man cant:-
a women give birth to a baby after having after 9 months. why do man sometimes forgot that they are in this world because a women gave him birth.
women can do eveything what a man can. it depends on person to person that whether he is a smart or dumb for example u take a dumb foolish man and intelligent women, they are giving IQ test then it is obvious that a womwn will win. now vice versa if u take foolish dumb women and smart , intelligent man then it is obvious who will win.
so u can see that u cant say that women is smart or a man is smart. both are smart in theri own way.
i hope u like my explaination

Equal in their own ways. I'm a man, so please bear with me as I write as a man. The machinery of society is held together by nuts(women), and bolts(men). They are both entirely different, but the same in purpose. They are meant to be joined, and in the joining bind a part of the larger machinery. Which is greater? Neither has purpose without the other.

Some women are nuts, that feel they're getting screwed...
Some men are bolts, that require a lot of torque...

this is such an obscure question -

look at your friends - are all of the men you know equally intelligent? do they have equal strength? what about the women ? are they equally intelligent? each individual person has their own strengths both physical and mental... rarely will you find any 2 that are equal..

BUT... should women and men have equal rights? be given the chance to do equal jobs? of course - any one should be allowed to de and be anything they are capable of

Other than a few body parts and chemicals, men and women are basically intellectually equal, though some in society don't want it that way or accept it.
