I am a confident 18 yr. old gay/bi male. Most of my friends are cool with the way I am. However a certain insecure/homophobic few, will assume that because I am gay, I automatically "like" them, and become paranoid. LOL. I have dealt with this, using everything from out-and-out ranting, to a simple laugh, or even "don't flatter yourself". I was wondering if gay dudes have experienced similar situations and how you have dealt with them? Hint, stories and solutions would be nice.

apparently no one is getting the "humorous" aspect of this? I just wanted some light hearted stories and some tips.

I usually tell them that as King of all gay people that I held a vote and not to worry. No one wants them.

How about an honest blunt, "Hey dude, if you feel something where I feel nothing, then you need to figure out what's going on with you. It's not me. Could be prejudice, could be fear, could be the reality that virtually no one is 100% anything. Being 95% doesn't make you bi. It makes you human. Deal with your issues. Don't try to make them mine." Then walk away. If he's a friend worth keeping, he'll appreciate the reality check later. If he's not gonna get it, he's not gonna get it no matter how much reasoning you do.

Good luck.

PS, I'm not a guy but I can relate.

I think it's hysterical. I love the idea that I have the power to make men stand with their backs (butts) against the wall and cover their crotches! Little do they know I'm a muscle man! They ain't hidin' nothin' from me! LOL! I'm kidding, but they don't know that!

Seriously, though, you could just tell them how repulsive and disgusting you find them. Tell them they so are so far away from your type that you didn't even notice they were men. I guarantee you they'll start to have an inferiority complex and wonder why you don't find them attractive!

Yeah. Most of those people are no longer my friends. Mostly by my choice. It was time to move on.

I say "don't flater yourself" only just a LITTLE bit more offensive than that.

DONT WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHERS SAY THEY ARE JUST WHAT YOU SAID " THEY ARE AFRAID OF WHAT THEY DONT UNDERSTAND." DONT HUMOR THEM. BE THE BETTER PERSON.
