If you get sunblock with the highest SPF so that you don't burn. You should tan. Just make sure you don't stay out too long so that you do burn..we wouldn't want that.

I do not like to tan because of the damage it does to your skin, so I go to the tannig salon and use the spray on tan. I have always been pretty happy about how it turns out. If you do make sure like the night before you shave, and use an exfoliater to remove all the dead skin cells it will make your tan last longer. These tan only last 1-3 weeks depending on how your skin is! Not all tanning salons have a spray on tan so just call around good luck and God bless!!

It all depends on your skin tone, hair and eye color. I always burn when I first start tanning or am going out into the sun. Eventually I do get tan though. The lighter your eyes and the lighter color your hair (blond or red) the harder it will be for you to tan. Try a tanning bed, starting at 10 minutes and work your way up so you don't burn as much.

Use a self tanner designed for fair skin, and be realistic. If you have fair skin, be happy with a slight glow tan- you're never going to be Beyonce Bronze. DO NOT TAN IN THE SUN OR IN TANNING BEDS!!! It ages the skin, and if you are especially fair, you will be more prone to skin-cancer.
Peace.

I use Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. It comes in three shades to match your skin tone. It works great and you see results in a week. The only bad thing is it kind of smells like sunscreen once it is soaked in your skin, but it is not strong for very long.
