Iwas visiting a friend and fell asleep in his bed, he went to the store while I was asleep. I woke up but could not move I could only watch a pair of shoes and red plaid polyester pants that had just enterded the room. I wanted to look up but couldn't. When my friend returned I told him what happeded he was very upset. and said an elderly man died in the house. He says he saw him before too. And that is why he kept a bible open on the dresser.

I suffer from a disorder called sleep paralysis. Occasionally when I wake up, I'm conscious of my surroundings but I can't move or speak-- it just comes out a strangled whine. On top of that, the dreaming part of my brain seems to keep on dreaming, giving me the feeling that there are others in the room with me and sometimes producing visual, auditory, and somatic hallucinations.
Scientists believe that this disorder is responsible for many reported alien abductions, ghost sightings, and tales of zombies, succubi, and countless other mythical monsters.
It's not as romantic as the dead coming back in golf pants to watch you sleep, but consider the possibility.

yes I have seen one yet I dont believe they are anything more than a trick of the mind vividly remembering something, let me explain, the 'ghost' I saw was whilst running to work in the early (5.00am) hours of the morning past my old school, I glanced into the playground where I saw a metal base with a wooden pole attached used in rounders (a game like baseball) I thought to myself as I ran 'that's funny leaving that out all night it's a wonder it has not been stolen or thrown thru a window'. when I turned my head again to look in that direction it was nowhere to be seen and there was no way that anyone could have moved it in such a short time. I guess as 'ghosts' are believed by some to be 'spirits' of dead people how can they account for a lump of wood and metal having a 'spirit' other than the memory that lives in my brain.

I completely believe in ghosts and I'm pretty sure I've seen one or actually I've seen a lot in my old house a little girl and a man who wore a plaid jacket, just to name a few....and I know plenty of pepole who have had ghost sightings also. I'm a chicken but I've never had a bad experiance with a ghost and I hope it stays that way!

I'm not sure I would call what I saw a ghost but here's my story. I was very close to my grandfather and one day I actually saw him sitting at my kitchen table. This was several years after he had passed away. It was a very spiritual moment and not in the least bit frightening. In fact, it left me with a very calm and serene feeling.

If ghosts were real, we would have some CLEAR evidence of them. People are easily tricked by things they see, they find patterns in randomness, and they look for reasons to support the things they want to believe are true. In reality, ghosts simply do not exist.

I think I have seen one. It was at my uncle's house. His great grandmother died there. One day I saw a figure of an old woman walking around the house. It was really freaky. Then, when I went to get him he looked spooked, too.

I believe in Ghosts, I've never seen any, but I've heard and felt them. If you can believe in God, then you should believe that there is life after death and some people DO come back..

I've seen some in my old house in Arizona, when I was a kid. I feel ghosts need better explanations though. I just took a religion/myth/witchcraft anthropology course and it basically proves our any sort of supernatural is all in the persons mind by choice and/or influence from others or drugs. But I dunno yet.

I do believe in them. Sometimes I feel like I am not alone, even when no one is around me. Or, I'll hear or smell things that remind me of people I've lost. I've never "seen" any, but I don't have to see to believe.

yes I do believe in them .. and I had a very awesome experience with one.

This was long time ago ... in 1994 I was living in my country at that time (Peru). my little brother was 6 years old, and he had a friend that they used to play in my house all the time .... my brother like always he had bunch of toys everywhere, but there was this specific toy that his friend liked "MecaToy"; it's like a puzzle to build cars trucks but with tools, plastic bolts, and nuts. Well this little boy, Coquito; he got very sick, and he died, it was very sad because it was my brother's best friend, and we had to tell my brother, I know he didn't understand at that time but anyways. Four days after his funeral we were in having dinner all my family and we started to remember him at the table (everyone in dinner room, no one else in house) and my little brother said "oh my god I forgot my MecaToy at Coquito's place" after he said that a piece of the mecatoy came out from the aisle that goes to our bedrooms and the little piece went straight to my little brother chair. I couldn't believe what I saw. we actually stay quite for awhile, then we just laughed and said that he really wanted to keep playing with my little brother.

This is real man .... every time I tell this story there are tears coming from my eyes.
