Not on the first day. Take a spiral notebook and savor the moment as a meet and greet. Bring the bag when you are seriously ready to get down to business.

Take it just in case. It's better to carry an empty bag than having your arms full of books without a bag.

On the first day of school, my children take a notebook and something to write with. They have never needed anything else.

no just take a pen or pencil and a notebook iam going to 8 grade too and i am just taking that the firs day

Bring a garbage bag. Better yet, wear one! The kids will think you're homeless. It will be a funny way to break the ice.

I think u should wait and find out what u need once u get to ur school and see what ur getting from there and ,maybe the second day take it. It depends.

yea...they might give u alot of books....mayb just the first 2 days..thats what im going to do cuz im going to 8 too...btw what school do u go to?
