Thank you in advance. And those of you who are good at math, bless you.

The equation for a direct variation is y = kx where k is the constant of variation.

Using the values known, solve for k.
44 = k (4)
k = 11

Therefore, the constant of variation is 11

if y proportional x, then y/x = a constant
If y=44 and x==4, then the constant 'k' = 44/4 = 11
Hence, y=11x
Constant of variation 'k' = 11
