Don't get Limewire!! Good god, it gives you a million trojans!! And I don't think you're going to find anything too obscure on there. If you want free stuff, get DC++ it is a little more complicated than some other programs but it is spyware free and great for obscure music.
Or if you want a pay site, go to http://www.mp3sugar.com - downloads are 10 cents and they have a lot of obscure metal and electronica.

Limewire... The FREE ver. unless you wanna pay for it. I don't know what you get if you pay for it tho. Limewire's the best prog that I've used so far. I've 2 other progs, Napster (which seems to have hardly any new songs) & something else. I've heard that Ares is good. I wanna use it but I don't know how to d/l it & install it etc :( There's also Sharebear or Bearshare (forget which) but I dunno if it's good or not. You can try it out if you like tho. There's a site that my ex friend used to use but I can't think of it unfortunately :( Oh yeah Win MX. I wouldn't recommend that prog. Then again maybe I just didn't understand it :s

Lime wire its pretty good. You can download the Pro Version, but its $19.99. The free version is exellent and the songs sound great, it also has spyware, spam alert, and all of those things so it's really good.
You can also use Ares, its a bit slower but it works. E-mule, its a bit slower also, as Ares, but it has a great variety of songs.
Log into www.download.com and search for music dowloaders, and a great list of progams will appear and you just choose the one that suits you best.

for good quality music i use napster.. for good quality music that you have to search for and is free either limewire or mp3 rocket
either are good.. but on those ones you have to go through a couple of songs to find a good quality one.

Limewire ..... www.limewire.com and u can get the pro version of limewire using limewire itself to search for the pro version which is safer to use since there is no spyware or adware. hope this helps.
