10 yrs ago, eh? Probably Jordan.

assuming you're talking about a one-on-one match. it would be close, but jordan would probably win. kobe and jordan are both determined, strong willed, athletic ball hogs. both are great well rounded players. kobe has better handles and more range. jordan has a better mid range shot and is a smarter player. but jordan was more aggressive offensively. early in his career, jordan would usually drive instead of settling for a jump shot. also given that jordan gets more respect from the refs, he would either get a foul or dunk the ball... so jordan would win.

if you're talking about teams, the bulls would probably have beaten shaq and kobe. jordan had a great team. when he retired the first time during the 93-94 season, the bulls took the knicks to game 7 (the knicks went on to finals and took houston to game 7). if you take kobe away from the lakers and the lakers would have barely make it to the playoffs with only shaq...

Jordan would be scoring at will and Kobe would quit just like he did in the 2nd half of game 7 against the Suns.

Kobe is bigger and Jordan is faster, they both can play above the rim, can we answer this in 50 years when we can clone 5 Jordans and 5 Kobes

Jordan, no doubt about it. Kobe is incredible, but he has not reshaped that game the way that Jordan did nor has he been as dominant with a team.

No question, It would be Mike. Better defender, he was All Defensive First Team 9 Times, and already won a couple of MVPs at that point... and Kobe hasn't won an MVP yet and I doubt he ever will. MJ was a better teammate, better scorer, better defender, better person off the court, and will undoubtedly be the greatest basketball player of all time.

Mike, hands down, no questions asked! Mike had not only the physical tools, but he mastered the mental part of the game. Kobe has yet to do that!!
