Oh Yes !
When i was in the fifth grade we moved from France to Texas. I had lived in France for 4 years and had learned the French language. I had no friends in the school as it was my first day and I was forced to speak Spanish and i could not,so the teacher would always make fun of me and make me sit in the corner with a dunce hat on and make fun of me,she also flunked me for that year because, I couldn't speak Spanish, then at recess time when I wanted to make friends with other kids she would make me get away from them all and go by my self. after more then 2 weeks of that business from her during lunch time I walked all the way home through the desert to get to our house and finally told my mom what was happening. She took me back to the school chewed out the teacher in front of every one and then pulled me out of the school and took me to another. Now I am in my fifties and speak 6 languages, but still not perfect Spanish.

You bet! My teacher in 5th grade was a wretch, and I held back a lot, however to my surprise...my teacher from 1st grade did notice, and wasn't aware she was keeping an eye open for me...awe...and I missed school a few days due to a really bad fall at home and was seriously injured. When I returned the injuries were obvious mostly to my face. My teacher started on me as soon as I walked into class. She was so cruel and loud...but the 1st grade teacher stopped her dead in her tracks and sent me into her class to help younger students...man I heard her put her in her place, and she did report her...way cool!
Didn't have to share all that...but yeah I can relate to teachers like that, who should have joined the army, not the education profession...Lol! Thanks for asking!

Oh my gosh, my third grade teacher was the same way! She would be super sweet when we had a play in front of the teachers, but when we were in the classroom, she used to scream at us. She almost hit one of the students.

Unfortunately, I think most of us have. While most teachers are in it because they love kids and want to help them to a bright future, some are attracted by the position of power in which it places them.
