Unlike the US, Hezbollah knows how to win the hearts of the people. They build schools and clinics and provide healthcare and build infrastructure for the general population. And when an invading army came in and blasted their country to bits, they stood up and fought the invaders (nevermind that they provoked the action, nobody cares who started it when enemy troops are on your soil). Hizbollah is more popular than ever now.

If the Lebanese people for some (insane) reason condemned hezbollah and sided with israel.., hell, it's not even worth thinking about because that will never happen.

First off, they won't because Hezbollah is all that is standing between them and the Israeli agressors. Even if the Lebonese did condemn Hezbollah for the kidnaping of two soldiers, Israel would still continue its offensive into Lebanon. The problem is that Hezbollah is not controlled by any sovereign governement (although it is supported by some). This is also part of what makes Israel's attack so senseless. It would be like America attacking Canada because some people from Mexico attacked a couple Americans and ran across the Canadian border.

There is a lot of war propaganda on both sides in any war. And each side usually feels that they are right and the other side is wrong.

The only way people change their minds about a war is when they get defeated and a new government is successfully imposed on them. This what happened in Germany and Japan after World War II.

As long as the people who started the war remain in power, they continue their propaganda. And most people under their control continue to believe them and not anybody else.

I think Hezbollah will become more popular in Lebanon, after this war is finished.

None of the bombs said 'made in Hezbollah' my friend.

The Lebanese people blame Israel and the US for starting this war, pummelling their nation to bits, and refusing to stop even when it was obviously gaining no additional benefit to them.

The Chinese will supply the peacekeeping forces, just like they supplied the UN observers who were deliberately killed by Israeli target bombers.

My guess is that this whole mess probably gained Hezbollah more credibility in the world than they actually deserve, and a lot more members. Israel sealed that by bombing the Beirut airport and suburbs, many river bridges and towns that had nothing to do with Hezbollah.

The US made new enemies and earned world criticism by encouraging Israel to excessive violence and refusing to move toward peace.

For shame!

Hezbollah has already turned on the Lebanese people... they haven't woke up yet.... will they?

I think Hezbollah will attack the Lebanese civilians outright if they speak out and condemn it, instead of just hiding behind Lebanese women and children like communists.
