Contraptions from the past that were used with sanitary napkins to keep the napkin in place.
Belts were often made of cotton, elastic and metal and needed safety pins to keep them in place.
Sometimes though, sanitary belts weren't used with sanitary napkins but just a fashion accessory to the woman's undergarments

From what I understand it was a thin elastic band with a clip on the front and back was used to hold sanitary napkins in place. Sounds like an ancestor to the "Thong". This was like over 30 years ago before they started coming out with sanitary napkins that would adhere to you underwear. Were you a little tipsy when you thought of this question?? LOL

Hi, It's from the "olden" days and the girls of today are very lucky not to have to deal with them! The "belt" is what we older ladies had to use during our periods. The pads had long tails and we had to secure them in the belt...and of course they never stayed put. The best thing to ever hit the market was the new pads they came out with that just stick to your underwear. It truly was a great day...LOL

It is almost a thing of the past.. was used to hold sanitary napkins (kotex, pads, ect..) it had little clasp on it and fit around the waist and was made with elastic..and at that time the napkins wasn't like they are today with glue and such to stick to undies..they had long sheer like material to hold to those clasp I spoke of above.. Hope this helped..

i don't think they even make them anymore....YEARS ago it was an elasticized belt with 2 straps with little snap like things on the end that would hold a "sanitary" pad in place for women during their "cycle". it was all women had offered for them to use at that time....gross
