I, for one, am sick to the teeth with remakes. I love Rob Zombie, but you can’t make perfect better. That is the bottom line there. To me, it would be like remaking Star Wars. Why waste your time? How about Hollywood has an original thought! I rarely enjoy a good remake. Remakes are good when the movie was crap the first time around, but then again they will most likely be crap this time around too! More gore and technology doesn't make a movie better. The story has to be there. In the case of Halloween, it is already there. I don't want to hear a rehashed version of Halloween with more blood and guts. It is not necessary. Sometimes the scariest things are not on the screen, they are in your mind.
Leave the classics as they are. There are tons of things to make movies about and even more books to base movies on.

Rob Zombie is a superb director.... i ought to believe him doing a chick flick..... yet Halloween area 9 will be very good becasue of what you had already stated.... he has very good expierence directing horror flicks, and he knows the thanks to make a daunting movie.... I remeber at the same time as the devil's Rejects got here out.... It were given 4 out of four stars from my newspaper guy.... and he ever supplies 4 stars.... So i'm rather particular that no human being will be dissapointed contained in the way Rob Zombie will direct Halloween area 9.

OMG! I had no idea Rob Zombie was doing another film let alone a classic like this. I imagine it will be great since it kinda went downhill after H2O.

I have to agree with the last one. There are far too many remakes out there. In fact i like Zombie's second movie better then his first due to the fact that the first one reminded me too much like the Texas Chainsaw movie. We desperately need new fresh ideas for movies.

I liked 1 and 2. Mike is an excellent villian. He is a real person. Could happen. As far as Zombie goes, have to wait and see.

i think rob zombie is a geat idea, he will hopefully add some new spice to it. anything will be better than halloween 3: season of the witch. that one really sucked.

Michael Myers isn't a good killer. I much prefer freddy or jason.
It might be cool with Rob directing the new one.
The series needs fresh blood. LITERALLY

they got worse as time went on. and they killed off jamie lee curtis already, so what more can happen? rob zombie is great as a director, but i dont think he can much with it. its time is over in my opinion.
