Can anyone tell me the configuration of a mercedez 2.6litr V6 engine as fitted to 02 model CLK240. Looking at engine bay from front, which cylinder is no. 1 and which is 2 and so on, staring at cylinders nearest to front of car and on which side. 10 points to best answer.

well as you stand facing the engine, number one cylinder will be on your left, closest to you. cylinder two will be behind that one, and three after that. four will be on the right side, closest to you, five and six after that. hope that helps.

Looking from the front the left hand bank of cylinders are numbered 1, 2, 3 with 1 being nearest the front and the right hand bank being 4, 5, 6
Most V6 Mercs fire in the order 1-4-3-6-2-5

U got 123 on the left and 456 on the right, most engines start on the left, with the numbers, and the 1st piston is usually at the front of the car
