lets say you are 40 yrs. (woman) and your job is shutting down. and you have the oppurtunity to go to school for up to 2 yrs. free, what kind of classes would you take?

I would take courses in a field related to my previous job experience. Then when you interview for positions, you have your work experience plus schooling in your field. However, if you do not want to do what you were doing in the past or it is not a field that lends itself to college courses, I would take something that interests me for a future career. Almost everything this day and age is on computers, so I'd take some computer courses... Other than that, find out what you want from the school and go for it! :-)

I already go to school for free (I have a tuition and fee waiver for the rest of my life), so whatever the eff I want to.
