There are bars where everyone goes there to drink, and get drunk; in many places there are, what is commonly known as bar girls.
These girls encourage the customers to drink and to buy drinks for them (usually at high prices, but water down drinks or juice not to get drunk).
the girls are also known to be prostitutes.
At the end everyone "wins " except the customer. The customer gets drunk and gets the girl (after paying for her services) the bar owner gets rich, the bar girl gets paid and also gets a commission for the drinks.
The customers might (will) end up without money, hangover and usually with a case of veneral disease or worse.
This occurs every where, including Las Vegas, not only in the Philipines

as you enter the bar(s), your greeted at the door by midget and then the bearded lady comes and takes your order. As your waiting for your magical beers, your entertained by dragons and wizard.....
