I doubt theres a real curse on them, unless Kerry Von Erich sold his family's soul to win the NWA championship for 3 weeks..
They have had more than their fair share of hardship and tragedy, thats for sure. I could repeat everything that Leif said, but that'd be redundant.
That being said, they are probably the most tragic wrestling family in the history of the sport.

I blame Fritz for what happened to that family. While his boys where doing drugs he would always be in denial about it or always making excuses for them. Fritz showed what a kind of a human being he was when he forced his son Mike Von Erich to appear at a show at the Cotton Bowl even though he had no business being there(he barely recovered from the Toxic Shock Syndrome that nearly killed him but to sell tickets he forced his son to appear) Even after Kerry commited suicide Fritz was still in his sad world. Instead of talking about how sad he was about his son's death all he cared about was being in the spotlight one more time to announce that Kerry wrestled with one foot. Just my 2 cents but hope it helps.

According to some sources, The Von Erich Curse is a name applied to the Von Erich Family. While the patriarch of the family, Fritz Von Erich, lived till natural death, four of his five sons died in premature deaths withen a 10-year span (as well as his eldest son who was electrocuted as a child). David died in 1984 of acute enteritis, but cynics said it was a drug overdose. Official cause of death was confirmed that David's death was a heart attack caused by ruptured intestines, which was in fact a heart attack.
Kerry Von Erich committed suicide in 1993 at his father's ranch. Kerry had a history of drug problems & two arrests, the first of resulted in probation & the second for violation of probation.
Michael Von Erich committed suicide in 1987 by intentional overdose of a tranquilizer. It was in 1985 that he suffered a shoulder injury while on a tour of Isreal. He was forced to have sugery done on the shoulder & shortly after, it was discovered he was suffering from Toxic Shock Syndrome, which ended his wrestling career for good.
Chris Von Erich committed suicide in 1991 as a result of depression. He was depressed & frustrated as a result of a failed wrestling career.
Kevin Von Erich is the sole survivor of the Von Erich Family. He retired from wrestling in 1995 & is now settled with a family of his own & working in Real Estate. He's been married for over twenty five years with two sons, two daughters, & a grandchild. He lives in Germany but prepares to go back to his Texas Ranch. In May 2006, Kevin sold the entire WCCW Video Library of his family to the WWE for a possible DVD release sometime in the near future. His last appearance in a WWE program was on July 15th on WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC.

It certainly seems like it. There was Kerry, Michael, Kevin and the fat little brother. The only one still alive is Kevin.
