The problem with NAFTA is that it is designed to make the rich richer. It is a step toward Globalization which allows big corporations to produce products at the cheapest locations with the fewest regulations (like environmental, labour laws etc.) and make the most money selling back to the largest markets. The problem is that eventually you end up exporting jobs (that is happening now) and reducing the buying power of the consumers in the larger markets because the jobs are gone. There should be a swing back to supporting local industry, farmers and smaller businesses to help support local economies. I could write volumes on this but just look at the shape of the US Ecomony right now. They are in big trouble. But the gap between rich and poor is growing so rapidly that something has to give. Great Question!

Canada ought to benefit this a lot extra effective if we purely positioned a tremendous Bell Jar round it and persevered in isolation!!! Your arguments do no longer undergo as a lot because the scrutiny of 23 years of particularly loose commerce between the U. S. and Canada. It has labored out all proper for Candada. i will not talk for the U. S. yet contained in the longer time period, concerning their ability provide (safe practices) subject matters and stability of commerce touching on to ability, they have also benefited significantly. Why Mexico is area of NAFTA....i do no longer have a clue, except that this benefited significant organization contained in the U. S. on the time.

NAFTA has harmed both Mexico and Canada. Mostly because the USA refuse to follow the agreement and just use it as another way to impose tarriffs. It should be torn up and we should shut the stinking border. NAFTA round 2 promises to be even worse.

So far, nothing good has come about because of NAFTA, it has harmed the USA and illegal aliens still flood across the border and continue the damage done by NAFTA to the American people.
I know the pro-NAFTA groups praise its results, but I see with my eyes, not feel goos.
