That depends who you ask. Some dentists will say twice a day, because most people are at work or school during the day. Others will say three or more. I would say three if possible and after you have something with lots of sugar. There are even those teeth wipes out now, so there are no excuses for not being sanitary.

Brushing immediately before bed and when you wake up will help eliminate plaque build-up and will remove food particles from your teeth.
