Great answers already to a highly complicated question. The idea that love can't change or it was never love in the first place is a tricky little cat's cradle to navigate here, but ultimately, I'd have to say:
My father.
My father was a drunk, a philosopher, a laughter-maker and a terrifying character. He looms large in my life, even though this year we put him in the ground. He possessed some of the seeds of greatness, but saw too much and far too clearly, and hid from himself in drink and sought the comfort of failure and medocrity, the comfort of being liked.
I like to entertain the idea that I have something to say, but the love I feel for this memory of the man who made me wraps me up in fear and often stills my hand. Classic Hamlet syndrome.
So if I could free myself of that sense of love, I might take the chance. But who I'd be if I went through with it, I can't say.

How do you answer that? If you love them.......there is no way in the world you would want to stop. If you did want to stop.......then it couldn't possibly be love.
I've thought I've lovd a few.....and realized quickly that it was misguided. The people I have loved through my life, I still love deeply and can't imagine ever falling out of love with them....ever.

I would never want to stop loving anyone that I lâ¥ve. I only wish I could lâ¥ve them more and more and more.
