yes they can choose to die because if one has a right to live one should have the right to die, it's only that most people don't want to die that's why they think death is a problem or a matter of pain for the person who is dead & thus create this issue of catogerizing sucide as a crime

It's called a living will and everyone should have one. Should the circumstances arise where you are terminal or brain dead, then you have a right to die with dignity and not be kept alive by machines. This brings a sense of peace to people that know that they are already dying. I feel that the cruelest thing that a society can do is fight to keep someone that has no life alive only by machines. God knows when its time for a person to die, not doctors or machines.

See this is tough question. I remember having a debate on it in sociology class before.
One must wonder if someone is choosing to die, if they have he mental capacitiy to do so. Often times people make the arguement that it is kinder to let someone die who has been in pain for a considerable amount of time. But also consider that along with pain often comes depression. Would this person, had they not been depressed wish to die? Does a healthy, happy person wish to die? With proper therapy it is possible for people to overcome depression (and suicidal thoughts).
But what if some one is sick, but not depressed? this is the problem, where do you draw the line? saying that sick depressed people can not kill themselves, but sick and not clinically depressed people can is not fair. Every one is intitled to life...not too sure about death.

death is such an ultimatum. if the person is brain death and no way is going to back then i think its better to die than to suffer. but some one who can be normal even if they live in pain should live. life is very precious and a lot of stupid ppl think they can end it just because of a stupid thing like my b f left me and i have no one to love or as i once heard i failed college. there is a reason for every thing and death is the hardest decision some one will ever have to make

life is a gift you must use it in a right way
it's true that sometimes you're angry or mad and you wish that you were dead, but the fact is you're seein' only that moment, you don't think that you had nice times too, like bein' with your friends,partyin',laughin,........
if something happens to you and you wanna be dead for that thing it's stupid, you have to put that thing behind you and start over

Of course not. Pretty much no one would ever die.The world would become much more overpopulated than it is already.
