My Horse and I
I love her more than the sweet grass she craves
I love her more than the hills we brave
Her gentle back carries me
To places only we can see

i found this one on a page i don't know if you like it but it may help.

I AM

I am a carefree girl who loves horses.
I wonder if there ever was a horse that could fly.
I hear the stomping of a hundred mustangs on the desert in Arabia.
I see a horse with golden wings soaring into the sunset.
I want to ride swiftly over a green meadow.
I am a carefree girl who loves horses.
I pretend to be an Olympic jumper.
I feel the sky pressing down on me as I ride along a sandy shore.
I touch the clouds on a winged horse.
I worry that I'll fall off and become paralyzed.
I cry when a colt dies.
I am a carefree girl who loves horses.
I understand that I will not be able to ride every day of my life.
I say, let all horses roam free.
I dream about the day when I have a horse of my own.
I try to be the best rider in the world.
I hope to ride all my life.
I am a carefree girl who loves horses.

The Horse Who Had Wings
A horse is a wonderful thing
And peerless the horse who had wings.
This is the song the Mongolian sings
As he plays on the fiddle of the horse who had wings.
Our prince had a horse so grand,
He tirelessly flew the length of the land
But a burglar broke in
And cut off its wings.
The horse in agony died.
Our prince made the horse-head fiddle
Which he played with a horse-hair bow
And at night when his tears matched the stars in the sky
We could hear the lament of our prince as he cried
For the loss of his friend who could fly.
A horse is a wonderful thing
And peerless the horse who had wings.

It's really good. Some of the rhymes like 'Cause you promised me you were a friend /A BFF 'til the very end seem a little forced. Beside that, like I said, it's good. And I can relate to the topic. Good luck.

Wow... Nice. :D I like what you have. The last two lines, esp repeated like that, give it that much more of a force and make it so much stronger. There were a few lines that seemed a bit forced or missing a word-one line in particular-but other than that, it was nice. :) I liked it. Different. No idea who the person is, but that's okay. I don't need to know.

Of course, of course.
And no one can talk to a horse, of course.
Unless, of course, that talking horse is the famous Mr. Ed.
