chinas are the upside down, inverted cymals you will see that have a short, sharp sustain. wuhan makes exellant chinas, theyre practically the standard, but zildians are good also.

From Wikipedia:

"China type cymbals typically have a bell that is cylindrical or shaped like a truncated cone with its base the top of the bell, an outer rim that is turned up in the reverse direction to the main bow of the cymbal, little or no taper (change in thickness) from bell to rim, and an area including the inside of the bell that is unpolished."

In other words, China cymbals have a bell, but instead of sloping down to the edge like Turkish and European cymbals, the outer rim turns up.

Generally speaking, China cymbals have a different tone than the more common Turkish or European cymbals. Instead of the consistent tone you will get from a ride or crash cymbal, a China cymbal has more of a flattened, splashy tone to it.

I have never played Wuhan cymbals before - when I was playing drums, I used Zildjian and Paiste cymbals.
