there is no doubt team in my mind that Team USA will win gold... but i strongly believe they will not be as dominant as the original dream team... i watched this current USA team in their exhibitions and they dont look so unstoppable to me... yes they got great talent in james, wade and melo but they also got mediocre players like jamison, battier, hinrich and bowen... teams like argentina and brazil will give them a good challenge because they just dont intimidate opponents anymore... they will struggle a bit, they have a few close games on the way, but im sure they will still win it all...

Team USA basketball finally got it right! They picked a well rounded team that can play together as a single unit. This team will finally dominate on the level of the 1990's Dream Team, a level that we have embarrassingly not lived up to recently.

The dominant days have been over for a long time. They should win but expect some real close games.

They wont dominate... those days are over... they have to actually show up and play a little bit now. And the coaches have to devise a strategy instead of sitting back and just watching.
If they buckle down they can bring home the silver (Gold is out of the question). But it wont just fall in their lap... they have to earn it.
There are plenty teams out there that can whip their @ss. Just wait and see.

At least it's finally a competition now. I doubt they'll win as where's the big man. Watch out for France to pull an upset.

who knows, the foreign countries have NBA players on their team more than ever and foreign players tend to be more disciplined but with Coach K leading the team, the US could see total domination, it all rests in Coach K's hands.

i think they can but if thay decide 2 cut da wrong player den things may go wrong
da team is good and everybody like dat young approach but i think dey still could use a vet but dey made a good choice by not choosing a plyer whos selfish and not about team ball
