Interesting question. It seems that more often than not the subject of racism comes from people claiming to be on the receiving end of it or people trying to make it go away.
I will say now yes there is racism in the U.S. And everywhere else in the world too. The big difficulty is different races do not understand each other and their ways of life. Long as there is a lack of understanding there will always be differences. I will also say that racism is also perpetuated by those saying it needs to go away. Most often in how they go about their agenda. They often start a shoving match with the haters and make them hate even more. Instead of trying to enlighten them to the cultural differences and all the wonderful things in life that can be gained by everyone getting along and sharing their cultures.
Racism is not just a white thing either. I have seen haters in all cultures. Actually even more than in whites lately.
I am not sure it will ever go away. But we need to learn to minimize it and not perpetuate those hateful ideologies.

It would take for Muslims to stop being terrorists, Orientals to stop being nefarious, Jews to stop being greedy, Irish to stop being drunks, Mexicans to stop being lazy, Italians to stop promoting organized crime, and most importantly, for all Blacks to stop being so useless.
