Acrylic cleaners just fill the cracks yellowed and dull lamps should be replaced so you can drive safely at night. I have sanded down 600 grit wet paper then 1000 grit then ultra fine 2000 grit the surface and polished with rubbing compound. The result wasn't that great. it was enough for the car sale.

I agree with John Paul. I used Meguairs Polish they have a #10 and #17 one polishes and one cleans. See their website at

I had to go to a local airport to buy the cleaners, they are popular with cleaning and polishing airplane windows.

However it worked somewhat but the result was not really satisfactory or long term.

I would recommend new headlights. I used the following website and the results were much better and in the long run easier than polishing.

I bought a product made by meguiars at autozone to clean headlights that were dull. It was easy to use just rub it on and off and it only cost a dollar. They did not look new but it did help. For one dollar and five minutes of work you can not ask for more.

Go to wall Mart, K-Mart, or your local grocery store and buy a can of "Bar Keepers Friend"

It's a very fine abrasive cleaner, and works great.

It's kind of like Ajax, and Comet, but better.
