I regularly go to a web site where I am asked to "click here" for my "free laptop", no other info is available, I'm tempted but is there a catch? And could it cause more trouble than it's worth?

Nothing is free. You'll probably have to sign up to some dodgy web scam or have a nasty cookie left on your computer. DON'T click on them pop-ups!!

Don't click on that "free laptop" button; it's the deciever, corrupter-of-minds-&-computer. It's only gonna give you pain and regret for the rest of your life. First of all, the so called vendor of "free laptops" is trying to set you a mean virus/ Trojan horse that will annoy your current PC/laptop a lot. Secondly, there just isn't a word like "free laptop", unless (I'm quoting from The Fairly Odd Parents!) there's a "not" in front of it!

Nothing's free

Could be a scam, they'll probably ask for you credit card and bank details to pay for extras like postage and packing then disappear. There's a lot of scammers like these originating from Eastern Europe..Nigeria
Be aware very aware !!!!

No, it not for real. In order to get that free lap top you are turned over to about 25 more companies who want you to buy or try something. The bottom line is, they want your credit card#.

i used to be tempted but i was told not to even bother, i guess it's not real, or it could be some form of getting one's information for some reason. Let's see what other people think.
