A positiive result is never wrong. A negative result can be.
My advice is to stop the pill if you suspect you may be pregnant. Have another test done in a couple of weeks. Avoid intercourse if you are not on the pill and do not wish to get pregnant.

Would it be possible you may have become pregnant before going on the pill?

Trust your instincts. If the symptoms persist, and your doctor is not listening attentively, consult another physician.

If you are on the pill,it is likely that you are not pregnant. However,a negative responce to a pregnancy test may be erroneous. That said a positive test will most definately be positive. If you think you may be pregnant, take another test in a day or two(first sample in the morning-mid flow)if this is negative also, the chances are you are not pregnant.
If you do have concerns about your health, you must speak to your doctor.Your tiredness may just be a slight case of anemia, and should be addressed as quickly as possible.
Hope this helps.(I am not a doctor,or a health expert, but my wife had a similar episode a few years back).
Keep well, and, if you do turn out to be pregnant, then, Congratulations.

Is your period late? If it's not then it's unlikely that you're pregnant. The symptoms you have are, most likely, down to the infection.
The pill is not infallible, so if your period IS late then go to the docs and get them to do a test.

There are false negatives as well as false positives. Tell your doc you want an examination and that you want to stop the pills until this is resolved.
