Sure ! Go to the party with her. But you are under NO obligation to buy a gift since you don't know the person, and was invited by YOUR friend. Your only reason in going is in support of your friend ( her ex being there ) There's nothing wrong with that, as long as it's OK with the person having the party.
Have fun !!!

first of all, do not plan on a lot interior the way of presents. generally it rather is small stuff, flora, candles, nick-nacks, and so on. So plan the social gathering as a result. Pot luck could be ok in case you in basic terms invite good acquaintances, yet being invited to a "social gathering" and asked to hold something is somewhat cheesy. maximum won't care, yet people who do would be verbal approximately it at the back of your back. an hardship-free advice: make small foodstuff (sandwiches, and so on.,) chips, and do Wine Coolers, some soda and iced tea. Have mid-afternoon (2-3pm). by using fact you ask in Etiquette you may desire to be bothered. So i could grant the refreshments for my travellers completely. a recent registry is in no way perfect for a house warming, (and a few say for something the two!). added: by using fact a number of those human beings rather know unquestionably not something with regard to the present day registry thought and etiquette, i could propose you pass to the library and get a e book on etiquette to instruct that registering isn't perfect.

The homeowner should understand you not having a gift since
he/she/they don't know you. They shouldn't expect one. Just
don't eat much of their food or drink at the party.
