well i asked a question similar to this a little while back about how you can tell if a guy likes me. the person answered with a question: Does he smile at you for no reason? Does he laugh at your jokes? Think about it... I think the same would sort of apply to you except you just need to let things flow slowly. if he likes you too he will ask you out sooner or later. you just gotta be patient with men. Smile at him for no reason and if no reply just try and be friends first and take it from there. Trust me, I am having quite the similar problem as you are right now. Just don't rush things and everything should work out the way it is supposed to. :)

Be brave, and go up to him when no-one else is around and tell him. If he is a nice person, he will be honest back and tell you whether he likes you back or not. Even if he doesnt, he should be adult enough to tell you and stay friends. After all, you will be flattering him.
If he does anything nasty and imature like laugh at you or tell his mates (which is worst case scenario), then you will know that he is not a nice person, you will stop liking him and move on to a better boy.
Good luck, its never easy........ and if it goes wrong, remember that you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince.

Tell him, "I like you".
The thing is, boys (and indeed grown men) are notoriously bad at reading the "signals" that women send them via body language, hints, the wearing of certain perfumes, clothes, hairstyles etc.
We tend to either completely mis-read these signals, or ignore them, as we speak a different (body) language!

Touch legs
Laugh at his jokes and touch him on the shoulder
Touch his arms
Touch him anywhere
