I'm hoping I can wear contacts so I can put my sunglasses and hide my "evil eye"!

If it really is just a broken blood vessel - it would not hurt you to wear your contact lenses. It will take a few days to clear up. If it does not clear up, becomes painful, or happens again you should make an appointment to see your optometrist.

I just started having that happen to me this year, and I don't even wear contacts! I have no idea what it's caused from or why it happened. Maybe I should be worried and check that out...

Talk to your ophthalmologist before you wear your contacts any more! It might be benign or could be the sign of something serious.

Only an ophthalmologist is able to diagnose this and advise you properly.
