Ive got a new computer! *cheers* but... one problem
i-Tunes.
I have 300 songs on i-Tunes, on my old computer.
And to keep all of my songs, I had to export the library and then we are planing on copying it onto a disk key, so i can transfer all my songs onto my new computer.
we checked the file where I had exported my songs, and we dont think its big enough to have all 300 songs in it.
So please tell us (me and my dad) how to switch computers with i-Tunes while keeping all our songs.

PS. my dad is a computer scientist and is a total whiz. please dont give us any BS please or any rude comments

You have to copy over the actual .mp3 and .m4a files from the directory where the actual music is stored. The export library function just makes an XML file describing all your songs, it's not the songs itself. Do a search of your hard drive for files of type .mp3 and .m4a or whatever other format your songs are in, and copy all of those onto the disk key and onto the other computer. They probably won't fit onto the disk key all at once.

Oh, I just found how to find where your songs are using itunes: Go to the edit menu, select Preferences, click the Advanced tab, and right there should be the directory name where your songs are. Copy everything in that folder to the new computer.

Ok i will give you an answer but to state your dad is a total "whiz" as you say being a computer scientist and all, I guess I just dont follow as to why he would need another person to answer such a simple question. I think you gloat your father to be something he is not, or dad is not all that. None the less..

Itunes, ugh what a total piece of crap, none the less. Ok so you want to transfer to one computer to another. For one thing I have no idea what you mean by a disk key? I think you might mean a cd-r or maybe even a floppy disk, but a disk key is a new one to me. Well anyway, 300 songs is not all that much and depending there bit rate and file sizes per song you could probably burn them all to a dvd. A dvd holds 4 gigs, and if this fails you can network your two computers together and share the file folder from one straight to the other. You and the "whiz" have fun.

file>>>export library>>> direct it to what ever your copying it on to, preferably a disc.
if not find the folder with your music in and transfer some over at a time
when you put the disc or what ever into your new computer use
File>>>add folder to library and point it to you disc
check out Edit>>>preferences>>>advanced tab.
itunes copy's files into its own folder which sometimes means you have 2 folders the same. the reason for this is i tunes and media payer battling for you custom.
if the music is not in the itune folder i only means that you wont be able to get Advanced>>>track names. but if its in an independent folder then media player will get the names and also the album art. it takes a bit of learning so use the F1 help key if you get stuck

good luck your headache is just starting

nicely, i don't believe of what he's doing is amazingly suited, and being that you already voiced your uncomfortableness with this, he could have stuck up with the help of now and end it. If he needs to do what he needs, then he could no longer have married you to commence with. because husbands and better halves could haven't any secrets and techniques, in the different case that's no longer a wedding ceremony. some human beings the following may merely reason: come on, that's only a sport, those women folk are not actual. yet hello... pictures play a efficient message contained in the mind. particularly quickly it is going to likely be a real woman contained in the image or video, then it is going to capture his interest even more effective. Then contained in the actual existence (with any success no longer!). yet issues can enhance really quickly. And the position is the dedication of the marriage, the believe, the willingness to positioned the different one's emotions prior to 1's own? that is why the international is the way it truly is now. Marriages falling aside because human beings do merely not care! Very unhappy! besides, i imagine you could try back chatting with him, and tell him how that makes you sense, and under no circumstances accusing him of something. Plus each of the violence contained in the game, which in straightforward words feeds undesirable issues into his mind. are you able to help him discover yet another sport that has no violence and immorality? My husband performs distinct ones that he has to construct a city (something like Sim city)... yet there are any such large type of healthful video games accessible to confirm on from. in case your husband would not substitute and keeps going back to this sport, then particularly a lot he has his recommendations set in it. from time to time those video games are very addicting. per chance he will conform to counseling or per chance he will understand on his own that that's harming your relationship, if he really cares for it.
