A teenaged student asked to go on a date with her mom. I thought that was probably the biggest compliment that anyone could ever give me.

Recently a pen-pal that didn't know what I looked like saw my avatar (though it's not the greatest photo of me) and said that I reminded her of someone that sells make-up..I could have been her twin..but I was the prettier! I thought that was a nice compliment.
And my boyfriend always says I look more beautiful if I don't wear any make-up at all. Eek!
His nick-names for me...beautiful and gorgeous! I wouldn't go that far...but I'm glad he thinks so!
Lastly with my art...many compliments with everything that I've either drawn or created...that's always nice to hear. Always a treat when someones birthday comes up and when I ask them what they have on the Wish List...they just say.."Love to have you make me one of your cards"! (I'm a wizard with an X-acto blade!)

The best compliment I've received was probably that I was a really good writer. Every time I hear that it makes my day better.

Once, when I was shopping with my mom, an older man (he was probably in his 60s or 70s) said, "I shouldn't say this, because it will give you a big head, but I don't think they made girls as pretty as you when I was growing up." It honestly made my week.
A few weeks later in the same supermarket, I was holding hands with my boyfriend and another man of about the same age said to him, "You're lucky; she's beautiful." It was awesome.

Where I work I see and talk to about 300 people per day and they all refer to me as the "Social Butterfly". I treat/greet everyone the same- as equals - respectfully - friendly - and courteous to all.
