Help! I accidentally had a pen in the washer and dryer and now all my clothes have ink marks. Any good tips for rescuing these clothes and removing all the ink marks?

It took several washings (it went through the dryer after each wash) in warm water and detergent but in the second washing I added some bleach and the ink mark disappeared completely.

After first regular wash, when wearing it, I noticed the ink mark on my sleeve had only faded. Second wash: It was a white printed cotton flannel nightgown so I didn't really care if bleach faded the print but it seems OK, none the worse plus the white was whiter after the second wash.

If you are concerned about the colors, you might try Oxy-clean or bleach for colored fabric instead.

Try hair spray. It works on ink when used before washing and drying....
That said, you may be "out of luck", often once something has come out of the dryer, the stain has set.
Good luck.

Try spraying the ink with hairspray then washing them again. Works best if you do not dry them until the ink is gone. May not get it all, but it should help.

It is the acetone in the hairspray that works. If that doesn't work, try acetone nail polish remover
