Doppler,s effect which is base for the theory of universe expending, tell us that if source of wave and observer start motion away from one another.then there will be no constant quantity(wave lenght, frequency, speed)of sourace.
while on other hand theory of relativity tell us that Speed of light in vaccume is universal constant and does not depend upon relative motion of observer
So if we carry the source of wave(light) in vaccumeand also a observerand they start motion away from one another then according to Doppler,s effect the speed of wave(light here)is not constant while theory of relativity tell us that speed of light will be constant
So which theory will be correct?????????????

Hi science125

The speed of light is constant for the relativistic doppler effect as well. The wavelength, frequency and energy of the light is observer dependent, but not the speed.

Hope this helps!

This confused Einstein as well, until he came up with an ingenious solution. Time itself does not flow at the same rate for everyone at everyplace. Instead it flows at just the right rate so that every observer will see light traveling at the same velocity.
