Colin Powell is not the only good man that Bush has chased out of politics. His original press secretary couldn't deal either and quit.

You are talking about the tale of two *****. DICK Cheney the Neo-Con Fascist and DICK Perle the Neo-Con Zionist. Birds of a feather war monger together. Both a dangerous as a two-headed viper. The problem is that CP is a mongoose and could eat these two white boys for breakfast like sunny-side-up eggs.
Colin Powell can have a political career anytime he chooses to!

No. Colin Powell was the sole voice of reason in an otherwise out-of-control administration. He seriously sullied his professional reputation with that ill-conceived speech to the UN regarding the presence of WMDs in Iraq and regrets that to this day.
He simply saw that he was involved in an impossible situation and got out while the getting was still good. Additonally his wife's health was certainly a factor in his decision.

No,Colin Powell is retired and happy to be so. His wife's health was not strong enough for this to go further in a political career. As secretary of state he had extensive travel. He's happy, he's had an extremely successful extensive career. Now he wants peace.

No I think Colin Powell decided to get out of a bad situation that he couldn't change, before his reputation was ruined. I don't blame him.
