get ahold of the treasury dept. they have a web site. they will need your name ss# and the approx date you purchased the bonds. there's no guarantee but they might be able to replace them. I don't know if there is a charge now for the search.

Sounds like you are screwed. You need the bonds to turn them in for cash, just the numbers is no good.
